Team Trip🌍!Last week we got the amazing opportunity to go to the UK to visit two of our suppliers and the factory in Milton Keynes⚡! We kicked off our trip at Helix which makes high-performance electric motors for our powertrain. Thanks to Jasmine Bishop (Ives-Keeler) and James Edwards for setting up a great informative tour at Helix and giving us a deeper understanding of their technology💡!Next, we also went to Hewland which makes the transmission gearbox for our powertrain. Many thanks to Ryan Liepa for showing us around and letting us see how Hewland produces its transmissions⚒!On the second day of our trip, we got the special opportunity to get a tour of the Formula 1 factory and their campus. During this visit, we got to see the evolution and timeline of their legacy in Formula 1. On top of that, we were also able to see and feel all aspects of being a high-performance race team and what it takes to be innovative in such a competitive environment. It was especially cool to see how efficient and well-thought-out the team and facilities were and how everyone operated in a very high-performing way. A huge thanks to Morgan Maia for giving us a great overview of the team and their operations💪!We want to extend our gratitude to Siemens Digital Industries Software and Leonie Upton for making this trip possible and Daniel Kofman for joining us during this experience. 🚀 InMotion Schooltour has succesfully inspired the next generation of engineers!🚀We are thrilled to reflect on the success of the first edition of our InMotion Schooltour. Developed in collaboration with secondary school De Nassau in Breda, this innovative concept also reached students at the Jan van Brabant College in Helmond and Rythovius College in Eersel.Our mission at InMotion is to inspire society to accelerate the energy transition. As we recognize the vital role of young, technically skilled talent, the InMotion Schooltour is aimed to ignite students' passion for technology. Through our enthusiasm in workshops and an inspiring presentation, we showcase how students can make an impact through innovation even during their studies.During the Schooltour, students engage in a program filled with presentations, workshops, and the opportunity to glimpse into the future with our Vision race car. Workshops cover a range of topics, from applying math and physics to innovative challenges to debating mobility issues.The success of the first InMotion Schooltour lays a solid foundation for further development. In collaboration with the Eindhoven University of Technology and other organizations, we are exploring opportunities to expand this concept and create an even more significant impact. Putting our battery modules to the test! 🔋Last month, our technical team worked together with Thales Cryogenics, to conduct crucial vibration tests on our battery modules. These vibration tests help us asses the resilience of crucial components in our battery pack against harsh track conditions. Not only did these tests validate the vibration resistance of our modules, but they also provided invaluable insights for our team on preventing the impact of vibrations and improving designs. For the past several years, Lay3rs 3Dprinting B.V. has been supplying InMotion with essential tools to facilitate rapid 3D prototyping. This partnership is instrumental in maintaining a fast design process, vital for driving innovation within the automotive sector. 💪 In line with our commitment to advancing this dynamic design environment, Lay3rs recently furnished our team with a new Ultimaker S5. To demonstrate the remarkable capabilities of this incredible machine, we showcased it at the Autotechnika fair in Brussels.
